07/03/2008 | K2FA The Sporadic Ham Radio Club, WWW.K2FA.ORG, enjoyed a relaxed Field Day operation from the backyard of Pete, KF2U. We entered as class 3E, but only had 2 stations going. Between Mike KA2KQP and Pete KF2U, we managed 484 QSOs with our 5 Watt signals, including 89 SSB contacts. Our antennas were an 80 meter inverted vee, a 40 meter delta loop, and a 2 element quad for 20-10. Mike also worked 12 stations on 6 meters using a 4 element yagi laying on a plastic garbage can! With all the comforts of home just a couple of steps away, it made for a nice weekend. 73's and congrats to all who participated. -- KF2U
