An Introduction to ARRL Resources

Greetings!

ARRL is pleased to welcome you as a Registered Teacher!

Whether your interest is in introducing amateur radio into the curricula in your classroom or providing an engaging topic to explore as an enrichment activity, I think you will find resources on our website that will spark ideas.

Visit the link for Amateur Radio in the Classroom.  There you will find resources available through our Education & Technology Program (ETP) – an outreach program to schools that is funded by our generous donors.

You will find:

You'll also find Information about the Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) program. This program partnership between Amateur Radio and NASA provides the opportunity for students in classrooms to hold live interviews with astronauts aboard the International Space Station using Amateir Radio.

You have been added to our Instructor/Teacher mailing list to receive email notification of our quarterly newsletter, Radio Waves, which is published electronically on our website. (Click here to read past issues.) We use this newsletter to keep you informed about instructional resources and programs you may find valuable to your classroom activities.  We would like to be able to share stories and photos of your experiences with Amateur Radio with your students and your exploration of wireless technology, so please share your accomplishments and stories with us!

If you want to provide Amateur Radio licensing instruction, you'll want to check out our resource page with materials for licensing instruction

If you are also interested in Scouting, visit the Scouting section of our website to find resources that have been developed for teaching the requirements of the Boy Scout radio merit badge, curriculum for the Girl Scouts Radio & Wireless Technology Patch, as well as other amateur radio activities designed for kids.

Amateur Radio is a valuable entry point to understanding wireless technology. We hope you enjoy the journey with your students!
