The FCC said hams may resume using the frequency for normal amateur purposes after that time. The communications emergency was declared to support flood relief efforts in Central America. The FCC announcement also expressed the Commission's thanks to all in the Amateur Radio community "for their cooperation and dedicated amateur service."
