ARLB098 COMMUNICATIONS EMERGENCY TERMINATED

The declared mandatory communications emergency affecting 14.265 MHz
ends November 17 at 0001 UTC. The FCC said hams may resume using the
frequency for normal amateur purposes after that time.

The communications emergency was declared to support flood relief
efforts in Central America.

The FCC announcement also expressed the Commission's thanks to all
in the Amateur Radio community "for their cooperation and dedicated
amateur service."

The termination announcement came November 16 from Deputy Chief
Joseph Casey of the Compliance and Information Bureau.
