Visible sunspots were back to zero over the past week, after a few
days of low activity. Flux is still just under 70. The average
A index was down about 3 points, indicating somewhat more stable
geomagnetic conditions.
Over the next month we can expect solar flux to stay about the
same, with flux below 70 over the next week, and then right around
70 until the end of the month. Due to recurring coronal hole
effects rotating onto the solar disk, conditions should be
unsettled to active from now until November 20, with the most
unstable days being November 14, 15, 18 and 19.
In last week's bulletin ARLP045, Hardy, DL1VDL was identified in
one instance as DK1VDL. The correct call is DL1VDL.
Sunspot Numbers for October 31 through November 6 were 0, 0, 0, 0,
0, 0 and 0, with a mean of 0. 10.7 cm flux was 69.7, 70, 69, 69.5,
69, 68.3 and 69.2, with a mean of 69.2. Planetary A indices for
the same period were 8, 2, 2, 2, 9, 6, and 7, with a mean of 5.1.
