BPL Database and Interference Information: U.S.

This page contains a database of information about BPL systems and the BPL interference many of them cause across the United States. The BPL database lists hyperlinks to most of the radio frequency interference reports caused by BPL systems. It also has information about the general location of the systems, a description of its operation and contact and web-page information for all of the major participants in the operation and testing of the system. It is primarily used by Amateur Radio operators to organize their work investigating BPL systems and any interference they cause. The United Telecom Council is maintaining the minimal database of BPL systems that is required by the FCC’s BPL rules. This database is available at http://www.bpldatabase.org/.

In general, people that are interested in learning more about the operation of these systems should use the contact information in these database entries If there is no BPL team for a particular system, contact the appropriate ARRL Section Manager for more information about BPL in your ARRL Section.

The information on this page has been compiled by ARRL from a variety of sources, including reports received by amateurs in BPL areas its own staff work or from articles or public presentations about BPL It is believed by ARRL to be accurate, although it can only be as accurate as the reports and articles used to compile it.
