This contest was a bit of an embarrassment as I was only able to give an ND multiplier to 13 stations. I really did try, but the band simply didnt cooperate. Well do better next year!

I spent a couple of hours at the contest station of Tom N6AJR on Saturday night and worked most states west of the Mississippi. I could hear lots of stations on the east coast, but they could not hear me. Had fun with a friend for a couple of hours t... Read More

I got lots of Christmas tree decorating done during the contest. Had a sandwich too. Occassionally I worked stations no more than 200 miles away at best and only if my antenna was pointed at them. 10 meters was about as small of a box to work in as ... Read More

Well, at least it's nice (only joking) that Murphy visits Al's QTH when I'm not there. Over the years I've run a number of EME contests with Al, and each had its memorable "drop-ins" by Murph.
This year was no different for me, though. During my shor... Read More -

I never got east of the Sierra or south of San Diego. Talk about difficult conditions! Most of my 30+ Q's came from within a 100 mile radius with my beam pointed directly at them.
I already know 2008 will be better than 2007, it can't get any worse.
