August 15, 2001 README.TXT AView Version 1.10 ------------------ This version contains the following changes from Version 1.09: 1) The tree list control in the Browse tab now expands or contracts to fill the available space in the window. AView Version 1.09 ------------------ This version contains the following changes from Version 1.08: 1) Corrected a bug that caused AView to crash under Windows 95 and 98 when some bilevel images were scaled to gray. 2) Some printers (HP Deskjets in particular) didn't print pages with photos. Changed the way DIBs are printed to keep those printers happy. 3) Fixed a bug that caused AView to try to print a nonexistant file when printing some articles that have page jumps. 4) The "Item" Tab now shows page jumps. AView Version 1.08 ------------------ This version contains the following changes from Version 1.07: 1) Corrected a bug that caused title words of longer than 10 characters to be unmatched during searching. Installation of AView onto systems that have AView 1.07 or earlier installed will cause the installed verion of AView to be automatically updated to the current version. NOTE: The data file for each publication must be updated as well to completely fix this bug. 2) An ending page of 0 is ignored if present. AView Version 1.07 ------------------ This version contains the following changes from Version 1.06: 1) Added support for non-ARRL page footers on printout. AView Version 1.06 ------------------ This version contains the following changes from Version 1.05: 1) Fixed printing bug that caused some pages to be printed inverted on some printers. AView Version 1.05 ------------------ This version contains the following changes from Version 1.04: 1) A file-not-found error when printing from a non-auto-detected disk drive was introduced in version 1.04 and is now fixed. AView Version 1.04 ------------------ This version contains the following changes from Version 1.0: 1) Multiple CD-ROM (or read/write) drives can now be used if Auto Detect is selected in the Misc tab of the Preferences dialog. When running AView, simply place the needed CD-ROM in the most convenient CD-ROM drive. 2) Seaches now work properly if more than one collection is installed. 3) The default page magnification is now "Fit Width." 4) The installation program has been improved to display the version of AView detected and the version available to be installed when re- installing AView.
